Most U.S. manufacturing companies have their hands full simply focusing on their home market. Given the familiarity, economic richness and proximity of the U.S., that is understandable.
In addition, companies are under constant pressure to reduce costs in order to compete. Hiring in-house professionals to develop and execute an international business development strategy is expensive and takes time. It usually involves redirecting internal resources away from important existing activities.
But by not going after international business opportunities, money is being left on the table. The U.S. Census Bureau has indicated that only about 30% of U.S. manufacturers export, and more than half of those only do so to one country. Clearly there are business opportunities for U.S. manufacturers who want to take advantage of them.
Fallingwater Consulting Group was developed to address these areas. We offer manufacturing companies the ability to leverage over 25 years of international trade experience in strategy & planning, market entry & expansion, market research and export management. We help you take advantage of international business opportunities without redirecting existing resources or personnel who may not be adequately prepared, or having to add an unproven new team to overhead.
